Guiding the efforts of the Goodwill to help others help themselves, from the chartering in 1927, has been the function of the board of directors, a body "staffed" by persons from all sections of the community. 14 people have served as president of the board, giving countless hours to oversee, promote and foster Goodwill programs.

The 14 presidents are:

	Elmer E. Tygret 1942 - 1949
	William L. White 1949 - 1956
	Rev. F. Leroy Brown 1956 - 1960
	Forrest G. Sherer 1960 - 1966
	Dr. John L. Bloxsome 1966 - 1972
	Marsee A. Cox 1972 - 1980
	E. Lee Webb 1980 - 1985
	George E. Miller 1985 - 1989
	Vern W. Fellows 1989 - 1999
	Barry Powell 1999 - Present
