Wheels To Work

Wheels to Work is a collaborative effort between Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries, Vigo County Division of Family & Children, Housing Authority of the City of Terre Haute, Terre Haute Savings Bank, Terre Haute First National Bank, Consumer Credit Counseling, Ivy Tech, Vigo County School Corporation, Western Indiana Community Action Agency, Inc., and the United Way of the Wabash Valley.  Mayor Judy Anderson and the City of Terre Haute will donate the first car.  Still in it's infancy, the Wheels to Work program will provide safe, reliable, and affordable automobiles to eligible families who meet the criteria set forth by the selection committee.  Eligible families will be Vigo County residents who are on TANF/Foodstamp assistance but are employed, have inadequate transportation, and are striving to become self-sufficient.  The Wheels to Work program will be implemented in Vigo County and administered by Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries. The program will rely on the community to provide financial contributions and automobile donations.  For more information contact the Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries at 812-235-1827.  On August 29, 2001 the twenty-third automobile was placed with a program participant.

Donations such as this car are tax-deductible to the full extent
allowed by law. Change a life, donate your old car.
